-Astrid Lindgren – RONIA, THE ROBBER’S DAUGHTER
I read it to my children, but unexpectedly, I also ended up reading it for myself. The most beautiful fairy tale I’ve read recently. In fact, I probably read more fairy tales than any other genre. At first glance, it tells the simple story of a little girl, but I realized that this girl is still a part of me—the book is about me! Whether you’re 10 or 40, the most important things in life are often the simplest. To me, this book is about love: the love between parents and children, friends, nature, and animals.
-Vydūnas – HEALTH, YOUTH, BEAUTY, AND THE MYSTERIES OF CHILDBIRTH
One of my favorite books by the Lithuanian philosopher Vydūnas, written over 100 years ago. It’s the first Lithuanian health guide, discussing physical well-being through a spiritual perspective {and beyond}. In a world oversaturated with discussions about external beauty and mental health on social media, this book offers a completely fresh take, exploring these topics from a deeply spiritual viewpoint. Fascinating and insightful! And let’s not forget the exquisite and unique language of that era in which the author writes.
-David A. Sinclair & Matthew D. LaPlante – LIFESPAN: WHY WE AGE – AND WHY WE DON’T HAVE TO
Health and longevity have always been my top priorities, so I couldn’t miss this book. Packed with information, discoveries, and behind-the-scenes insights from the world of science. A must-read for those who think about the future, care about their own and others’ well-being, and are looking for motivation to take better care of themselves.
